When machine translation first emerged in the 1950s, it worked on an algorithm which was based on the grammar of source and target languages. But the results back then were notoriously unreliable and machine translation never quite took off. However, fast forward to recent years and we see that the rapid advancement of information technology has brought about important developments in the translation field.
The era of artificial intelligence-powered machine translation
At Transistent, we undertook intensive R&D work with our teams specialized in linguistics and machine translation and made significant investments in this field. As a result, we can now offer you our machine translation services to decrease your costs! We are proud to be one of the pioneers of the industry in this field.
How does machine translation work?
We create translation softwares specific to certain fields and customize these softwares (known as machine translation engines) with knowledge specific to the field. Thanks to their artificial intelligence, these engines process the information given, and learn to translate between source and target languages. In technical fields in particular, and a number of other specializations, they can translate faster and with fewer errors compared to human beings.
